I love them all , the more fiddly the better, would this make a good poll Dave ?

Not been doing it very long but i'm willing to have a go at anything.
Turkish and i laid a 45m of Jura Limestone last month and i hope that's the toughest job i'll get, makes me feel that i can cope with anything that's thrown at me. Done large and small mosaics, travertine, and porcelain and enjoyed each challenge, haven't done slate yet but i've just measured a kitchen/utility/entrance hall and the customer was very keen on having it, so i guess it won't be long. Still i imagine my ol mucker Turkish will only be too happy to assist me, he's such a nice guy.

I like a challenge so I love working with new stuff. Quality stone is my current favourite, particularly marble and travertine.

Do not like cheap, poor quality, poorly made modular mosiacs and crumbly cheap n nasty travertine - Grrrrrr

I hear; I forget
I see; I remember
I do; and I understand.

Yeah we thought so, but the tragic thing about that job was that i haven't seen it finished. The hand built oak kitchen units were delivered and plonked at one end of the room, so when i'd laid, grouted and sealed one half, the units were dumped on it so i could finish the other half.
There were all other trades on this job aswell trying to get their bit done so all sorts of stuff was being stored in the kitchen as it was the only finished floor on the job. Rolls of carpet, plumbers pipes, sparkys wire you name it it was dumped on my floor. So i never actually saw it completely uncovered and finished.
And as for my back and fingers afterwards, don't even get me started

I like working with good quality porcelain... feels like I've done a propper job afterwards.

I quite like mosaics too.

It's just the biscuit ceramics I hate, take far longer than a 10mm porcelain job to complete.
