Default Heeeeelllllllpppppp!!

hi all, i know i'm gonna sound like a spanner here but i had a brain freeze today while tiling a bathroom and i urgently need help!

I was a 3rd the way through when i came to the window, everything else was bang on but i just couldn't get my head round how to set the window out and basically how to do anything to do with the window! As it happens it was nealry home time so i could get out and try and get my head round it. Any help would be greatly appreciated as usual!

Here's hoping.

Billy

Billy don't panic, measure between the window for centre. Once you have it spirit level a vertical line. Now mark the tiles out away from centre, it will either be a joint through the line, or the centre of a tile. Whichever gives you the biggest cut either side of the window face. Tile the wall, then add trims mitred around, and tile the inside reveals and cill and soffitt....job done, does this help your head now ? lol

in a little way gaztech!! But in a way no also, The wall is already three quarters done and most of my first jobs have been floors so i've never done a window apart from on the course so when i got to window height i was totally snookered. i thought in my head that i knew what to do but when i got to putting the tiles on i just couldn't get it right! i know i'm not explaining myslef brilliantly, my heads just a mass of broken biscuits!!!

I think we'll need a bit more info on just how you are stuck then, Redeye.

Gaz's post sums up how it should have been done. But if you are already 3/4's finished, on that wall, we need to know exactly how you are stumped.
Is it just how to rim it, or have you left yourself with crappy cuts around the window, or some other puzzler?

the cuts aren't that bad i'll try adn make it a bit more clear!

The wall has just been plasterboarded so it's nice and square, so the wall was no worries at all, then i got to around the window and the mind went blank! it's all set out i know where all the cuts are and how big they are but for some reason i can't get my head around getting them on the wall, i think i'm a lost cause coz i can't manage to put it into words!
