Why have they raised up ? | Wether or not to use primer depends on the adhesive one's using. Some adhesives are "primer free" on certain surfaces.
As for the tiles raising, I'd say the same as Dave. Did he leave expansion joints/space along the walls?

| Re: Help - Floor tiles coming off !! | | We all know that floor tiles should be solid bed fixed, in other words no voids or do we? sounds like your tiler didn't.
And priming is always recommended on dusty and porous surfaces.

| Re: Help - Floor tiles coming off !! | | Not very, but the skirting board is on now so I can only see in a few places
But the walls had just been plastered and that didn't go all the way to the floor because there would be skirting board.

| Re: Help - Floor tiles coming off !! | | There are gaps in the adhsive and you can still clearly see and feel the lines and groves in the adhesive | | |

I'm thinking instead of the bed being to thin, maybe its too thick! Most bagged adhesive has a maximum thickness of 6mm, 10mm here and there.
What adhesive did he use. If it's BAL, they'll send out a product suport technician. If you're in the SE of England thats me. Or up North, Mr Gaz Tech. |

| Re: Help - Floor tiles coming off !! | | We had everyone here today - shop owner, tiler, adhesive (palace) rep and tile rep. No one wants to take responsibility, we are in the midlans and I think a gug from BAL is coming this week to give an independent opinion. | | |
