I've rigged an invertor up to a second van battery that in turn is linked to my main one this means my second one is getting charged whilst driving and I can use it without the van running Mine didn't come with a lady in a towel though.

I have a 2.2Kw jenny in the back of mine, great for those little jobs rather than reel out an extension cable.

I'd guess it's a 12v car lighter to 240v invertor. If so, I don't see any reason it wouldn't power your saw, as long as the engine is running otherwise the drain will be huge if you're running a saw.

This could also lead to a security risk i.e. van being nicked if left running!

its jsut that ive seen power inverters before and most are rated at 300watt, but something like the plasplugs cutter is 650watt... would that just knacker the inverter? or make it struggle...
