it just could be possible that this is "run" in your cigar lighter in the cockpit of your car, otherwise it may be a reachargeable jobbie, mine you anything is possible with electrics these days! tut tut dave.....more ammo to throw at er indoors.........i'm upping the stakes bud!  | ||||||||||

I'd guess it's a 12v car lighter to 240v invertor. If so, I don't see any reason it wouldn't power your saw, as long as the engine is running otherwise the drain will be huge if you're running a saw. This could also lead to a security risk i.e. van being nicked if left running! | ||||||||||

its jsut that ive seen power inverters before and most are rated at 300watt, but something like the plasplugs cutter is 650watt... would that just knacker the inverter? or make it struggle... | ||||||||||
