Default Roll Top bath

Hi All

I've been to see a customer who said that whenever he had a shower the floor kept flooding.
When I got there they had a roll top bath like this one below, but was pushed up against the wall!
http://www.tradeplumbing.co.uk/Qualc..._p_61-226.html

He wants me to tile the wall and seal to the bath to stop the leaks, I suggested the best solution was to sell the bath and get one that was designed to butt up to the wall.

Do any of you have any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.
Ian

I get quite a few customers who want me to fit one of those close to a wall. When I point out the difficulties with cleaning, they usually go off the idea. A roll top bath is only good in the centre of a very large room.

Ian,

Just as uug197h says, unless it's one of the freestanding ones with 2 straight sides he'll need a wrap-around curtain like this

Still a pain to clean the dirt from the gap between the bath and wall. Unless the owner is very flexible or can afford a cleaner, the ones that I have seen installed have a good build up of dust, hair, soap and rubber ducks.

Thanks to you all, I'm going to see the customer tonight and so will give them the options of a better curtain or new bath!
Thanks again.
