hi folks hows it going done my first job last week it was for a friend so done a discount but think right price should have been 450 seems a lot to ask am i just too shy or does this sound right 9m2 bathroom normal tiles nothing unusal except an angle bit on ceiling ta mick

ta charged him 150mates rates but think i ll need to sit and work out proper prices 150 a day or 25 m2 was what i was told but seems a lot to ask/charge,plus 10%for natural stone and a pound for holes

never heard that before,a pound for holes.I also think you are way off the mark wanting 450 for 9m2,if you were told 325M2 THEN THATS ONLY£225.Iwould have charged £250 inc mats and trims.Good luck anyway bud...Bri

I know this is your first job . 9m2 @ £25 m2 = £225 which another tiler will do
in 5 hours then an hour to grout next day, you wont get much work if you
charge day rate all the time try and do more for familly and friends so your speed
improves , best of luck.

next time you are grouting try and make your mix a bit thinner and the grout will spread more easy.Let grout dry a little then use washboy to remove excess grout,this way it will take you an hour tops.

Sounds very very expensive.
Works out £50 a sqm, where as my price would have been around the £220 - £250 mark inc materials, but if you think you can get people to pay that sort of price then good for you

when you first start tiling you are very slow i used to charge £100 day rate now i have the speed i charge a lot more £150 is way to high for a new tiler unless you can get that much

just priced 9sqm ceramics at £235 inc mats. half day to tile and grout next morning

2 bags rapid set 20 quid
bag grout 6 quid
9m2 225
total 251 rounded down to 250
use rapid set and grout after 2 hours job done in a day
