    Can someone recommend a brand?
I looked for one at all the big stores and tile outlets, but in the end resorted to hours with a stanley blade a cloth and what ever chemical agents I could lay my hands on.

The Fein multimaster has got a good silcone blade that does the job well! Bit expensive for removing silicone like!!!
Also i know the people that make corner tape are coming up with some tool to remove silcone quite easily, dont know when it will be available like

tried meths and nail polish remover (not together though - I always follow the safety instructions ) - gave a lovely high feeling..........mmmmm acetone

pear drops don't you just love em?

I had best results with a very sharp wide bladed chisel - need to be careful though and finish off with the stanley, paring away - nightmare

I haven't found a better way than the good old stanly blade and then getting rid of the minor residue with my finger nails!

Not in my case mate it has always provided a nice clean cut and then if you get the final tiny little bits left off with the good old trusty fingernail!

We have a tool that we are due to launch in a few weeks and forms part of cornertape 'system', the products are as follows
    1. Silicone remover tool, made from plastic so doesn't scratch the surface and can be re-sharpened with a stanly knife. Its different from some other well known tools.

    2. Cleaning wipes, used to prep the surface before the application of CT and silicone, these are different from other peoples wipes as they are 100% ethanol which means that it evaps' from the surface leaving no residue, therefore your silicone has the best, cleanest surface to adhere to.

    3. You all know about CT, a perfect joint, period.

    Best regards

the thin replacement blades for a scraper are very sharp and flexable you can bend them so as to remove the silicone but not touch the bath surface then fingernail the bits
