I have a friend who services a fleet of 50 plus transits and as he puts it, anything that spins round on a transit soon wears out or breaks!!
A mate of mine has a transit crewcab truck has about 50,000 on the clock just had his flywheel and clutch changed £600.

Not an astra and well erm..... not technically speaking a van, infact I havent actually started tiling yet, waiting till i get back off the hols and will hopefully start july time, but when i do it'll be (reluctantly) the vectra estate.

Being a second job part time initially, and wanting to buy decent tools, the missus would at the very least..best case scenario, throw me out if i bought a van aswell, especially as were moving house 2 weeks after we come back from the jollies.

Ford transit 300 SWB, you get all you ply and plater board in and loads of room for your other materials at the back. Side door is where i keep all my tools, no more having to hunt through the whole van to find the tool I want. And good sign writing too.
