    Default flooring issue

im tiling a hallway for a customer jst now and they have asked me to level their living room floor for them.so they can put solid wood flooring down.It is a concrete floor and is about 20msq,however from the middle of the room to the wall the floor tapers off from 0-12mm.what im wanting to know is can i fill about 7-8mm with rapid set and then go over with multibase self leveler to try and keep cost down,or does it have to be leveler all the way.......cheers graham

Do you mean it's just the middle of the room that dips down 12mm lower from the rooms edge ?

I would only use SLC for a large area, and only "packout" small areas with rapid set.

cheers fekin but as above its only half the room 10msq,deepest point at wall 12mm working back to middle of floor 0mm,so probably only talking 6sqm at the deepest point then feathering out.But if its slc all the way then thats fine, jst thought i might of got away with rapid set for the first bit.....thanks again.

Got to agree with Fekin here. Multibase is the way to go. Give it 2 skims as it will only go to 5mm without chippings. You should only need a couple of bags so isn't too expensive.

    Hi grahamster

If you wanrted to do it in one hit you could prime with ECO PRIM T then apply Ultraplan Maxi from 3 - 30mm.................walk on in 3 hours
