Discuss ****panel tanking? in the Tiling Forum at TilersForums; Hi guys, I always use ****panel in shower areas taped and filled with waterproof tile adhesive on all joins and corners. Should i be tanking them as well? Any advice ...

    Default ****panel tanking?

    Hi guys,

    I always use ****panel in shower areas taped and filled with waterproof tile adhesive on all joins and corners. Should i be tanking them as well?

    Any advice would be great

    if your charging the customer for tanking then tank the full area for what tanking costs and the earnings from it you should be doing the full area

    simple answer is no but you would need to use their fixings and joint system to make any comeback on ****panel should you have a problem

    No it's another product from the other forum that starts with the same word, I think the software is just picking out the first bit and dealing with that. Gets a bit confusing I know.

    Nothing to do with that fekin....it is just the censoring software picking up on very regular words and asterixng them out.....thanks for pointing it out.....

    So this censoring software just picks fairly common words and decides their blasphemy and censors them

    No i do not tank A q u a panels ..I don't see the need to in the domestic market....just tape all the exposed edges/joints etc......

    I use water proof membranes anyway as this is a better job for showers IMO....but A q u a type panels do come in handy for hanging that extra weight on them......

    I'm with Dave on the aguapanel, I would only seal and tape the joints too. That is the idea of this type of product in my opinion, it doesn't de-bond the tiles if it gets wet.
