Default Tile It All - takeover

Not been on for a while as I've been up to my eyes in it. Just to let you all know. Might be old news to some but not seen any posts about it. Travis perkins bought Tile It All. Guy sold out for £6million apparantly.

I get cracking trade discount from these guys. No doubt that will change though and Tile It All's deal with Granfix for their own branded adhesives and grouts will no doubt come to an end.

Yes heard that about them.....they also bought out Tile & stone magic ( 17 stores)..... the new business side of things will be run by Mo iqbal formerly of Tile Giant......There seems to be a trend that these smaller firms are being bought out by larger ones expanding there empires........

I know this might sound at odds but I am trying to "go for it" with Travis Perkins to get our stuff in their branches. So I am hoping that as they are so keen on tile shops their buyers might perk up a bit.

Yes it was mentioned in the March 2008 TileUK mag that they had done this (Page 6)

Looks like I better sharpen my pencil and get writing to Linda Doughty (The Marketing Director of Travis Perkins) to see if they will listen to me...

Anyone out there know the lovely Ms Doughty? (and what are her favourite flowers?) Hello Linda your hair looks lovely this morning....

Seriously folks if anyone has an angle into TP let me know!
