Best advice i think, is just take your time, and do best job you can. Dont be pressured into trying to rush, as it might backfire on you.

When you start to panic, stop and stand back. I know where your coming from, i did a job about 6 months ago, first job with travertine, ithought it would take me 4 days, it ended up taking over 2 weeks, i was really stressed, almost packed tiling in after that, but when your finished and customer loves the job, you just want to do it again.

I remember doing a small downstairs toilet. Tiling half way up the walls and the floor, thought it should be quick and easy as only about 2sqm.......WRONG!! I had to box in some pipes and the toilet and sink remained in (customer wouldn`t take them out and i`m no plumber), so many cuts!! Took me 4 days!! I remember feeling like i should pack it in cos i got really stressed but when you`re finished and look back at the work it never seems that bad!
