The problem is with Tile Layout software, or any type of CAD. They all work with accurate measurements, and we all know no walls / floors are perfect. So you they can help with approximate layouts, and would help get the material qty etc, but that's where it stops.

I think they could look smart used in the right way at the time of quoting for a job. But I don't think any software will help you tile it any better.

i understand and agree that it will not improve my tiling however when doing a quote i think it looks really good, it can also sho the customer the sort of layout they are going to get, the softwear i got was only $25 so is from the US, it looks like a paint program that has been changed but is not up to the job, much like paint is not up to most things now, its a very old program,

any one know were i can get a good program?

The trouble with most good software it covers the whole of the building game and you only need a tiny piece of that or as you stated the cheap download one's are a bit tacky. I've been looking for quite a while for a decent tiling pricing system with no success, But if I find one will let you know.
