Limestone sealing advice.
Hi guys, half-way through laying a 44m kitchen/dining room floor in chunky Limestone. Haven't sealed any yet, and i was looking for some tips on the sealing process. Do i lay them, wipe them, seal them, grout and then seal again?
I've cut a lot of them with my wet cutter so obviously they've got very wet
, but they dry back quickly, they don't seem to be staining from the addy or water or marking at all when we walk in them.
I don't want to cock it up, this is my first ever encounter with limestone.

Re: Limestone sealing advice.
Sorry, chunky as in 20mm thick, i'm not sure of the name of it, it was all delivered in a crate and i can't remember what was written on it. It came in 3 sizes, 600, 700 & 900 x 400mm, shiny surface, as i said in the OP it doesn't mark easily. Sorry for the vague description, i'm not going back til wednesday so i can't find out what it's called until then.

When you say shiny is it polished or well honed ?
Is it hard does it sing when you hit it or does it thud

Re: Limestone sealing advice.
Cool
20mm is odd sounds like a Jura random length either beige or grey/beige.
It’s not easy because the grease out of the sealer remains on the surface as it absorbs very little and dries slow if you’re not careful.
Lay it, grout it you will have no worries grout will slide off, when it is dry wipe the surface with a stain stop like lithofin. Use a fluff/lint free cloth like the stuff that comes on rolls for cars. Wet the clothe and wipe end to end 1 tile at a time until you get the hang of it. You don’t need to soak it and you don’t want bubbles.
When it’s dry it may look slightly dull but if you draw your finger over it will leave a shiny mark your wiping the grease off.
2 choices buff it and you may not get it all off leave it as the grease diminishes the more the floor is washed
Think that should do it if not pm me

This is going to sound really sad, but the first thing that popped into my head this morning when i woke up was the name of these tiles, it is JURA beige.
