    Default Fixing shower tray

    Hi
I want to fit a shower tray onto a T+G new floor. The tray is acrylic, I was going to set it onto tile adhesive, will this be OK. Should I first fit 6m ply and then set in tile ad or will it be alright straight onto the floorboards.
    Thanks
    John

    18mm ply then flexi cement.

Seen some plumbers just use silicon/no nails before now.

You can mark around the shower tray on the floorboards, cut out the floorboards and replace this section with 18mm ply then bed tray on flexi cement as above

make sure you at least have 18mm ply underneath as tray will not have constant contact with wood so flexi cement required to give a solid bed - floorboards have a habit of moving about and acrylic bases have a fair movement in them
