want real quality worktrousers!
Hi guys and gals,
thinking of purchasing a pair of good worktrousers with good knee pads in to see how they compare to my big german pads which are damn good but feel like two blocks attached to my knees at times.
What do you wear???? and recommend??
swe i'm sure you use snickers as they are made in sweden??

Re: want real quality worktrousers!
Aye, I use Snickers, the ones in the link, with these pads. Good combination, and they're alot more comfortable than "standard" worktrousers, as they're lower in the front and higher in the back (less cleavage
)
Blaklader is also Swedish, as well as Fristads. And Jobman. And a few others. There are lots of Swedish workware makers, primarily because there is a long tradition of large dominant construction companies (uniforms), really strong unions, and strict rules on worker safety over here. I've never seen a site worker wearing jeans for example.

Re: want real quality worktrousers!
Snickers for me all the time....knee pads 24/7 also handy to put your marathons in the pockets !! Mind you just trailing some Canadian memory foam knee pads to see the difference.

Re: want real quality worktrousers!
You all have great opinions with your workwear, nice to see.
My £4 jeans with my £50 knee pads work great but the time has come for me to try try something new,if i don't like the pair i buy i always have great back up that why i want the best you see.Definite snickers or armadillo without a doubt.
cheers all.

I'm just about to get my Snickers "Pirate" pants which still take my knee pads. Will let you know how they are.
Too hot right now!

Re: want real quality worktrousers!
The Snickers Canvas plus ones get my vote.
I'd been using cheap Dickies ones and the knee pads moved around too much and were never under your knee. The Snickers are in a different league and the ones with the holster pockets are great for spacers and tools.
Snickers state shrinkage of 3% so you'll need to take that into account. I didn't and mine are a bit on the short side now!

Re: want real quality worktrousers!

Re: want real quality worktrousers!
Snickers for me, these trousers http://www.snickersdirect.co.uk/snic...s-p-81617.html
and these pads http://www.snickersdirect.co.uk/snic...s-p-76160.html
Unbeatable combination, the padas are really supportive and comfy and the trousers are very hardwaring with kevlar knee patches. Lots of pockets and the holsters are really useful.
Got a pair of these http://www.snickersdirect.co.uk/snic...s-p-82094.html
which are good in this hot weather, hard waring but they dont take the big kneepads so I wouldn,t use them if I was doing a big floor
