Hi There mate
everything you need to know we will teach you very quickly, our methods are staright to the point and slightly different from the normal way of tiling but they do get you where you need to be and produce perfect results in the shortest time possible, probably better if you come to us with no knowledge than practice the wrong things first so just come and be prepared for massess of information.
Regards
Darren

hi
just been on your site and looked around and its great. i know your course is just a week long but will i learn about everything i need to go out a start a business. i really want to concentrate on tiling and not the business start up as i have just had 10 years of retail which was sell sell sell sell arghh and marketing and advertising and consumer profiles bla bla bla and i really just want to learn the following.
a) what tools i need
b) how to cut shapes out of any tile
c) all the british standard rules to setting out in all situations
d) floor tiling. chalk lines and how you do them etc
e)all the different types of adhesives for tiling
thats it really, just want to learn the skills of laying tiles because thats what i dont know. will a 4 day course be enough compared to a 6 week course or do you do more writing and theory on the 4 and 6 week course.

thanks, ross

Hi Ross
After the first day you will be able to cut anything acuratly out of a piece of tile, look at the bunny rabitt photo on our website, this will show you what standard you will achieve just after the first afternoon, my setting out methods are from level 3 setting out britsh standards way, only i have made it better and quicker to do, every cut in the bathroom found in under 5 minuits.
You will end up with a 30 page hand out that covers every situation, preparation that you will need, i spend half a day in the classroom drilling this info into your head but you will have the notes as a back up. It will tell you everything from what size trowel you need for the size of tile, what adhesive and primers to use right through to the chemical reactions you can get from different products on different surfaces, weight ratios etc.
Tiling is tiling, once you know how to do it it is very repetative so longer courses will just go over the same situations or just take a slower pace. Our course is fast paced and just simply delivers everything you need to know in a short time, if you need to practice what you have learned, do some more tiling on your own garage wall, The real practice can only come from a real situation, all training centres are artificial so you can only learn so much there, Aquire the right skills then do some friends and familly, take it slow then introduce yourself to the public and your away.
Hope this answers your question
Darren

thanks for taking the time to reply.
i have been reading your testamonials and to be fair you have a lot more than any of the other courses so i am not going to argue with popularity. you obviously know what you are taking about and you only teach tiling so thats good enough for me. if you think a week is enough and then i can practice at home or friends and family then this is what i'll do. the saved money can go on tools and advertising etc.
just one final thing. what do you cover on the 3 day refresher. is this course ok for beginners like myself. so all in all it will be 4 days, plus a natural stone course and if i qualify, a refresher course..8 days total. if this is all i need then i will book your next free available dates on tuesday.

thanks again, ross

Hi Mate
the extra 3 day course is all practical and really puts your new skills to the test with the most awkward of situations, it goes into designer tiling, making different features and borders, we only take about 4 people on this course so it is very personal and can be taylored to what extra practice you may need on anything you have already done as well as the new stuff, everyone that has already stayed on for this new course has said it has been definatly worth it. If you check out the website in a week or so there will be a load of new photos going on their from this course, all the other photos on the web site now is what you will do on the 4 day course, the natural stone course says what it does, arms you to the teeth about these tiles
