As long as you feel you will get a benefit out of the course tysfoot then that's all that counts.

Have fun on it and post what you thought about it.

Don't forget to look at the true cost of the course:

2 day course at £160
2 days lost earnings at (say) £300
Fuel, food and incidentals at ???

That's a lot of money to me if you are only looking at learing to lay underfloor heating (get a CD/DVD as previously suggested) and some advanced tile fitting tips.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts, post course.
I hope it proves worthwhile - good luck.

If you use Bal love Bal and are daft enough to think Bal is the answer to all your tiling issues then pack your bag.

Courses were dreamed up 20 yrs ago to increase product awareness, get you to use the promoters products and you could tell your clients you had been on a course. Some years ago the marketing departments realised that they could pay for their marketing oppotunity by charging for the courses.
Genius !!!

Oh hang on you will get a product manual or maybe a cap
i have heard some bull on the forum but this is premier league bull.

Every one is entitled to their opinions but this is special.

These courses run by companies that sell adhesives are there for plugging their own products too, it's just the way it is, but as long as people can get something worthwhile out of it then all the better.

Hey Guy no problem everyone has an opinion. BAL have this to say on their practical course:

Quote:
The course is designed to provide information on all BAL products and services and includes hands-on practical work and product demonstrations. It places emphasis on the correct selection of wall and floor tiling adhesives and grouts and the correct installation methods that should be specified
