![]() | I spotted that the How2Tile website had copied the customer testimonials from our sponsors Diamond Training Centre!!! Now that is bad. Not only was it not genuine, it was exactly the same comments!!!!!! but with different names! ALARM BELLS RINGING!?!?!?!?!?! Come on How2Tile - You can do better than that surely? I had a really nice Private Message from one of our regular members (I forget who now) when How2Tile first setup not long ago saying that the guy running it was sound and that the training centre should be really good. Maybe no real customers have left feedback for them to use even at the training centre? Naughty training centre! That'll get you nowhere in any field let alone this clicky tile community. I hope they're getting geared towards SVQ's (assuming in 2010 you will need one to do tile work in Scotland too).

I say that because I kept saying to the Scots that they need an NVQ and I kept getting corrected as it's SVQ apparently - So it threw me. I don't know if the CITB etc govern the SVQ's maybe you guys have your own bods? Quote:
And if they didn't have their own comments, you'd have thought they'd have just had none on their website and not stole some. I hope I get corrected somehow but I saw the feedback myself. They simply changed the names. Now it's gone and Diamond still have it - so one can only assume Diamond's is genuine - plus it would have been on Diamond's website for ages - though I can't back that up personally as I don't record such a thing. What a situation hey? I must stress. This doesn't reflect on the quality of their courses (I think?). Though I'd be a bit put off by that dodgy tactic personally.

![]() | Luckily this was brought to my attention on Tuesday after someone asked if we owned this centre as well ? Contact was made with owner who admitted that his son had built the site and whilst doing so had got ideas from my site (a few to many ideas) Feedback was removed immediatley from their site and apologies made. | ||||||||||

| Now that I know about How2Tile in Grangemouth and their dodgy tactics at using other peoples comments copied from another training provider I certainly for one won't be training there! And isn't it about time that the CITB in Scotland got its act together and focussed on resolving its huge shortage of skilled constuction workforce trades people that we appear to have in Scotland? - By simply deciding on what qualifications are available in tiling and at what training establishments, when and where to suit anyone considering to enter the tiling trade. ![]() | ||
