Have you done the course? One day seems very short.

Get your head into some online books and save a few quid in the process - BAL and PCI do some literature on their websites on how to fix natural stone. A bit basic but it is a good reference when you forget the odd thing or 2.

I haven't done the course as yet (fully booked up when I went on the tiling course) it is meant as an addition to the tiling course. So it wouldn't normally be a stand alone day, although if you already have tiling knowledge then I doubt you'd have too much trouble getting to grips with it. Drop Darren a pm or email at North East Tiling, I'm sure he'd be more than happy to go through it with you.

Thumbs up Re: natural stone tiling course.NORTH EAST TRAINING

I did the 1 day natural stone course at North East Tiling, it may seem a short course but it is so packed with information you would not believe!! if I had not attended this course I would not have secured work with a big natural stone franchise as they put me through an interview asking what procedures I would use from start to finish on a number of different natural stones. The course is well worth it!!!!

Natural stone is easy peasy if you can tile.
Jus all wet cutting. Need to know which adhesive & sealers to use - most good adhesive & sealer manufacturers have a technical dept - use them for advice.
One of the trickiest is slate, due to it's differing thicknesses & sizes.

I did the natural stone at North East Tiling Training and it was absolutely fantastic. It is a short course but you are not learning to tile on this course, you should already know how to do that, you are learning the the extra things involved in natural stone tiling! Hope that helps a little.
