I have just completed the 4 week tiling course using PTS in Halow, Essex.
Considering that the only time i had touched a tile before starting this course was leaning over a urinal drunk in the pub. I found the course extremely interesting and after the first 2 weeks found that i had gained a lot of confidence, i then had a 2 week break( back to doing boring security work) before doing my final 2 weeks. The thing that i'm finding most fustrating is not doing any tiling at the moment. I have a lovely 104 square metres of flooring to do on my house in Spain at the end of the month, but i want to start creating and earning now. If anyone can provide tips/advice or work then it would be very greatly appreicated

Welcome to the Forum Albert. Leg work mate! Get the business cards out, get on the phone and get yourself known. I did the PTS course in Warrington, all my work so far has come from business card drops through letter boxes (part of the business start up that PTS do). I am building a rapport with the tile shops in my area and will soon start contacting other tradesmen in my area letting them know who I am. Starting my first "real" job tomorrow, kitchen splashbacks x 2 (medium kitchen, 2 separate areas) with 15 switches/sockets. Was very nervous when first went to see people, now just can't wait to get started. Need any help in Spain?

Thank you for the offer, however its all unpaid work im afraid, but the cost of a beer works out to about 1 euro 50 and you get free tapas with every alcoholic drink you buy. Still if i can crack it on my own then i feel i'll be master floor tiler material by the end of it.
