Hi, im interested in learning tiling can anyone recommend a good training centre in essex, i would be looking at one of the longer courses and gaining an NVQ or City and Guilds eventually. I would also like to do a plastering course at some stage aswell

Hi Garry,

Depends on where in Essex you are but i did mine at Able Skills in Dartford in Kent and found them to be really good, they also run plastering courses as well so you can do evertything at once.

Hi Nick

Thanks for the reply, how long were they and what did they charge, are you tiling and plastering now as a job?

Garry
They run 1 week to 6 week courses so you can do as much as you like really, i didn't do the NVQ which i believe is about 6 weeks. I also only done 1 week plastering as i only wanted to know the very basics to get me out of trouble more then anything so i don't advertise the plastering.

Take a look at their website, they've got all the prices on there, it's http://www.ableskills.co.uk/

Hi Gary, If your willing to travel that little bit further we are based around 1hour from essex in west sussex. We carry out all manner of tiling related courses and also have a purpose built centre next door that we carry out plastering in. Check out the links in my sig. Bear in mind that the plastering site is brand new and is still in the making.

Kenny.
