I suppose really we wrere taught the bare minimum needed, but there again it was only a 4 day course, but there was a hell of a lot more they could of simply told us, or even made out fact sheets explaining more about adhesives and substrats etc etc.

I probably learnt more reading these forums for a few hours than the full 4 days did, not counting hands on experiance obviously.

| Re: Was your course any good.... | | Did my course at PTS Warrington as anyone who follows regular threads will know. Got out of it more than I expected.............realised tiling wasn't as easy as I or most people seem to think!! And yes they did cover everything except specialist stuff like Victorian or elaborate mosaics but these courses can be booked if required. (weekends in Essex branch). |

| Re: Was your course any good.... | | well, ive shelved out £320 for 3 days at the lancashire school of plastering,im a bit embarrased by it really as most courses run for 4weeks,two of us did it and we both felt that it just touched the basics, learned loads on this forum and its all a learning curve when your a newbie. | | |

| Re: Was your course any good.... | | As stated elsewhere, I did my training at pts warrington...i thought it was well worth it, no limits to how much materials used while on the course, waste as much as you like..therefore you learn more through mistakes. didn't know which way to fix a tile to the wall before i went on it...still don't.. | Plastering & Tiling Solutions. |
