Default Jeeez!!

I'm a DIY

Firstly i'm not sure what floor tiles i've layed as when I checked the tiles I binned the boxes they was in, then layed them a month later, i'm a bit embarrassed about that!!

I'm sure my wall tiles are ceramic? which was easy to drill but these are a different story, I ruined 4 tct bits trying to fit my toilet, and i've got the pedestal still to fit!!

Even trying to drill through a spare tile I had through the back is not working for me with the bits i've got!

So firstly, what tiles are they?

And what drill bits will not glow red and cut through

bosch do a special tool bit at 6mm especially for drilling into tiles especially hard ones.My first thought are that its a porcelain tile but the best way to find out is by turing the tile and drip a little water on to it,if it disperses all over into the tile then its ceramic and if it stays on the tile like a small puddle then its probably porcelain.

I live in Rayleigh so just down the road from wickford, The carpenters arms is my local

Like I said I've got two holes to drill in the pedastal but if it's going to cost too much i'll just silicone, as the basin will hold that down, but don't like being defeated!!

Thanks mate

Definitely porcelain.

And you need diamond drills to go through them.

6mm 8mm 16mm 30mm 40mm

Use the 40mm to drill out the hole for the 32mm waste pipe. Will look great

Bottom left is a 32mm waste pipe coming through a 40mm hole
