    Default Problem with Lime Scale on Tiles

    Hello,

    Does anyone have any ideal how i can stop Limescale leaving nasty water marks on my tiles? I live in a very Hardwater area and all around my shower enclosure it looks grubby and no matter how much scrubbing it wont come off.

    Any advice would be great! Cheers.

    What type of tile are they? You may be able to use a sealer on them to prevent the water sitting on the surface.

    That's what I'd do. We live in a hard water area and the limescale build up on out taps is a nightmare. A good investment to save all that scrubbing.

    How much are these water softeners? are they hard or expensive to fit?

    Usually a filtered jobby............they can be expensive to change. You can get the cable type that wraps around the mains water pipe, near the stop valve. Then they just plug in.
