Default High gloss finish to Travatine floor

Hi. Canb anyone please tell me how I can achieve a high gloss finish to my kitchen floor of travatine tiles. The floor is 5 years old and has been treated with Lithofin MN Stain stop from time to time as well as Easy Clean on regular basis. The floor is more duller in higher traffic areas than in the other less-used walk ways. I assume I would need to use something that is compatible with the Lithofin spirit-based stain stop. This product I know is a sealer but gives me the exact finish I want but only when it is still wet. Will several layers of this achieve a glossier finish. Advice gratefully accepted.

Stain stop will not give you a shine..

You wil need to give the floor a thorough clean to bring back that original look, then if you still want a shine then a topical sealer can be used to give this effect, but be warned it will only last around a year with heavy foot traffic and will need to be re-applied etc..

Thanks Dave. When you say "topical sealer" - not sure what you mean. Can you recomend one suitable? Also, would I need to strip back the lithofin MN stain-stop that's already still in the floor or can the product you suggest be applied on top of it after the floor is cleaned?

Once the floor is clean you can apply over the top as it is a surface sealer..

    Some info here..

    LTP Ironwax Satin

Description: A hard wearing ionised acrylic semi-gloss sealer, that provides an easy to apply self shine satin surface seal on quarry tiles, terracotta, brick, slate, stone, terrazzo, unpolished marble and cement floors. LTP Ironwax Satin may be used as a wax protector in conjuction with LTP Antique or Clear Beeswax. Maintain with LTP Floorshine.

Tips: Interior Use Only. On more porous surfaces pre-seal with LTP Ironwax Primer. Do not use in wet areas.
