I have had black granite quartz tiles fitted in my kitchen.There was loads of dust on them and they seem very dull. I have used some grout remover which has helped a bit. When the tiles are wet they shine like they should but get dull after drying, some are ok.Is there anything someone a reccommend to me?Help would be greatly appreciated.

Try jangro wet floor polish never tryed it on granite but it works great on terrazzo insitu

It sounds like your tiles have not been sealed, or the grout remover has also removed the seal. If you clean your tiles before using a polish sealer, such as LTP MPG sealer, this should restore a lovely shine!

What were they sealed with... are they Granite or conglomerate.

Sound as though you have grout hazed from what you describe you need a sealing and coating remover and some phosphoric acid substitute diluted that should sort it

Hello, I have black granite tile in my bathroom and the tiles came sealed. I tried to remove the water stains with vinegar and now my tiles are ruined! They have a white haze on them. Does anyone know, if this can be fixed or my tiles ruined? Help

If they are a true granite they are not ruined they can be sorted. Post some pics and I will Guide you through it.

I posted some pics. I have real stone tile. Not sure what the difference is from granite to stone.
Anyhow, if you take a look at the pics you will see splatter marks that will not go away.

You have now posted pictures of your stone that has become damaged after you washed it with vinegar. I am sorry to tell you that you have washed what looks like a combination of Nero Marquina Marble coupled with a Cararra Marble both of which are calcium based and you have essentially washed them with vinegar which is acid so now the floor is etched.

It can be sorted but I need to know the M2 and the size of the tiles and I will try to guide you in restoring them.

Obviously I don't know what I'm doing, I don't know how to use this forum.
I don't know what M2 is but the size is 12x12. Should I call the tile company where I bought them from to see if they can help?

So if your floor is 12 Feet x 12 Feet you have around 13.65 Square Metres (M2). I think you may be better off getting someone in to repolish the tiles for you rather than attempting it yourself. I originally thought it was a small bathroom. If you tell me where you live I will try and see if I can get someone local to come and give you a quote.

Thanks Kevin, my bathroom is pretty big. I talked to the tile company and they said the tiles need to be re polished and sealed. I never sealed them from water marks! I Live in the us in long beach ca. I will try to find someone out here.

The size of the tiles is 12 inches x 12 inches - a standard here in the US. The marble may be able to be re-polished with some 5x powder but chances are the etch may be too deep and it may need to be resurfaced with diamonds before 5x'd. This is a job for a pro. Sad thing is that most guys here in the US who call themselves restoration pro's will use crystalization and make the marble look like plastic if not done correctly.

It's the same here as well. They use Twister Pads or similar then crystalize it and leave it looking like Orange Peel

Make sure use experienced guys.

No nO don't use vinegar it will ruined the tiles and make them dull. Try to use some best quality sealer.

• Pour 1/4 cup of isopropyl rubbing alcohol and two or three drops of liquid dish detergent in a quart-sized spray bottle. Fill the bottle the rest of the way with water and shake gently.
  
  
  
• Spray the cleaning mixture on your granite counter top to clean it everyday or to restore the shine.
  
  
  
• Rinse the counter top with a clean rag or sponge wet with plain water to remove any streaks and soap residue.
