Hi Dan,
Wonder if you can help.
We bought some Nero Marquina polished marble 610 x 610 x 15 and straight off the crate, they look really smeary!!!
Tried Lithofin Wax Off, polishing products, etc... all we could find from the Lithofin professional range, we used it but the smear does not dissappear!!!
We are used to italian marble quality which are like a piece of glass even the black.
Have you heard or seen anything like that before and what can i do about it? I am actually stuck with these tiles and cannot start this marble job.
Thanks for your help

Re: Stone query
Have you tried contacting the supplier to ask them.

Re: Stone query
Hi,
Yes, we contacted supplier and they cannot see the smear on the marble.
They took pictures of tiles they have got in stock and on the pictures we can see the smear!!!
To be fair they are trying to do something, they sent me a 406 x 406 and 610 x 610 full size sample by Fedex for me to mark where the smear is on the tiles and collect them straight away.
But we are sure that it is just a way to drag their feet and nothing will get sorted at the end.
They promised to call me today so we will let you know.
This smear seems to be under the polished surface and we start wondering if it is not some kind of resin in the tile itself? Any ideas?
Thanks for helping

Re: Stone query
Hi,
Bought 50 mē from a UK supplier and not ordered on internet.
The company is Rockford international, apparently a big player on the stone market similar to Pisani PLC but we really start to have doubts.
If somebody interested:
By the way, they didn't call yesterday to speak about the Fedex sample.
We give them a chase later on today.
