All that work in one area!
On the terracotta your cleaning - that plain taco inset on the left has blown a limespot off the tile surface - what cleaner did you use and do you think it may be too powerful. Or was it from a chip in the tile?
Its going to come up clean though isn't it.

It was a chip in the tile, there are loads of chips on them all over the floor. They wanted them removed but like how they have come up and want to keep them as it gives character to the old floor. Used a very weak neutral cleaner.

Re: Why does this always happen!!!!
We did a Platts Quarry tile years ago - on the diamond with a straight border round the units etc. Looked great.
The wife and I were on holiday at the top of a mountain in Italy and this customer came up to me and told me that the whole floor was to be replaced!!!!!!!!!
Apparently Platts had a problem with lime blow on a batch of their tiles and they had a team of tilers who went around the country and replaced them all!
Something to do with washing the floor with chemicals and the surface exploding with a reaction to the lime in the clay. Looked just like that terracotta tile.
