    Default Tiles Required

    Ok then, newbie here,

First of let me say we are not tiling contractors but all our work is floor tile related.

Not sure either if i'm posting this in the correct category.

Anyway, I know this is a shot in the dark but i'm asking anyway, we are currently treating all the tiled floors in a 80 bedroom hotel, about 40 of the 80 ensuite bathrooms have a 1 or 2 cracked floor tiles, these have obviously got to be replaced, like for like.

Tiles are approx 5 years old, so if anyone recognises type. make etc or know of any suppliers that keep old stock, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Our only alternative is to cannibalise 2 or3 bathrooms to get enough tiles to reuse, then retile these donor bathrooms with a different tile.

Look forward to any advice or info.

Pic is the best I have.

    thanks

Have you tried your big suppliers ? normally jobs like this are supplied by a big tile stockist. i am not talking topps tiles etc but it will be ones you may not have heard from. The hotel should have info on who built the
building in the first place and once you have found out who built it they should have a list of who did everything on the job.

    Thanks Michael
done all that and the obvious, Hotel has changed ownership 3 times since being built.
Even contacted original Architects for the building, but no reply. probably not worth there time digging out old files, although I did say we would cover any expense incurred.

    cheers

I know this could be a long shot..but if i tile a bathroom and have tiles spare, i put them under the bath and tell customer they are there in case they ever need a spare, then the bath panel is fitted...could be worth a look.

Your on the same wavelength as me!!!!!

First place i got my blokes to look, every bath panel came off.
Searched rest of the hotel as well, plenty of other goodies but no tiles.

Looks like we will have to cannibalise a few bathrooms.

    cheers

It looks like a Johnsons Aspect to me. If you remove one of the tiles the ID marks will be on there.
    Hope this helps.
