| messy tile job | | hi, been looking at ajob today, a client has asked me to clean up a job that was done 5 months ago, its wall and floor, unglased cerimic tiles, and unglazed porceline tiles around the shower, there seems to be adhesive and grout on tiles and wont clean off. What would be the best approach here.

Atac | My advice is be very careful here. You will get the blame probably for any damage you cause. If its been left in that state ask yourself why? Do a test area first on one of the worst areas prior to committing to the job and charge accordingly. Its harder than what it looks especially without the correct gear and if you could just slap lithofin on it why haven't they done it.

A black emulsifying pad is easily capable of scratching an unglazed tile and can do real damage if niot used with extreme care. It is more important in my mind to do a small test area with weak solution and gradually increase the strength observing dwell times.
