Thats exactly what I do day in and day out! The guy in the last video is using a Klindex Levighetor. Strangely enough he is using the Levighetor with a drive board and diamond pads stuck directly onto it. This only produces 200RPM which is not really high enough to grind efficiently and also he is using the machine with the transport wheels on which is wrong

Depends whats on it mate. Give it a good clean with a proprietry stone cleaner such as Aqua Mix HD Tile and Grout or similar from lithofin or HG. Then Aqua Mix sell a product called Renue which is very good for polishing. But you would be better off if you could get a hand machine and some stone polish. E mail me some pics or post em on here and I will send you the correct stone polishing powder.

Unfortunately you weren't told the full story if it is the stand I think you saw it on because I wasn't at the T&S this year.

£5200 is no where near the full kit as you call it. It is only a starter pack!!! I rate the Klindex machine as the best and I have used a lot of the others. I have been asked to trial one by an American company and the specs look good but as we speak the Klindex is the Rolls Royce at the moment IMO. The problem with Klindex is like everything else like the Fein the diamonds and parts cost a fortune. This is fine when you only use something like the Fein occasionally but when you use a Klindex on a daily basis a set of diamonds at £450 a pop needs some consideration especially when you consider that that is only one grade/grit and only for marble multiply that lot by 8 then multiply the whole lot by 4!!! Makes the £5200 slide into insignificance especially when you consider the diamonds are disposable parts.

The 2 day course they offer usually means you will get about 2 hours on the machine if you are lucky! It is a short course to introduce you to stone grinding but primarily designed to sell you the machine. I don't think anyone would have the confidence to go out after it and put a set of sintered diamonds on a Klindex and start grinding a floor though? If they did they have a lot more guts than I did. I completed that course twice with two different manufacturers then I did 2 x 4 day courses then Spent a full 2 days honing and polishing with a Pro and then did a 3 Week course in the USA before I had the guts to grind someones floor on my own
