Default Grout residue on slate

Hi folks, grouted up 25m2 of slate floor today, and had a nightmare . I have already done a load in the same house with no problems. Problem today being warm tiles/ warm weather.
The floor was cleaned plenty prior to grouting (I even use residue remover in my tiling water), and sealed twice with Fila Slate sealer. I have cleaned and scrubbed and cleaned and scrubbed. Then came to the conclusion I need something stronger and will go back in a couple of days when the grout is 100% gone off.

Has anyone else encountered this? I'm thinking Lithofin Cement away, either by hand and scrubbing brush action, or hiring a floor scrubber/ polisher to do the job - what would you do?
And then I'll seal 2 or 3 times with Fila again so it matches floor in room next door!
Cheers

Bob

Its strange isnt it that fixers will go to lithofin to get themselves out of trouble.............Why oh why don't fixers use slate seal and get the job right from the off ???????????

Use cement away as you say then use slate seal 1 or 2 coats..............

Sorry Mr Lithofin, I should have known better!
The job was an approved job so all materials supplied. I will however now insist on Lithofin from the off.

Will a scrubbing brush be sufficient Tony?

Diamond scuff pads is the answer.
I pack them along on every stone job.
Sometimes they stay in their box as the material is nice and other times they save me tons of tough scrubbing any other way.
You find them at the supply shops who service the granite countertop and monument industry.
starting at $12 to $17 each.
Worth every penny.

just watch for using different brands of sealers and cleaners etc ie fila and hg together as you would get very little support from either manufacturer if any problems where to arise
