mapei ultracolour plus?

have found a supplier here reciently that does mapei gear and have been using ultracolour plus grout on my last few jobs i know it has a stain repelent built in to it was wanting to know is there any need to still use seal guard on the grout as i have been using on those expensive jobs such as wet rooms any help appreciated!

Hi there kid,you in the Banbridge area?? Armatile up in Armagh,Newry or Belfast are big mapei stockists,i buy all my mapei gear from them and have good trade discounts,hope your not getting ripped off like a lot of other things here in the north!!

im in donaghadee but get my from armatile too in boucher rd belfast good discounts as well was getting from tile market but much cheaper from armatile and better gear as well!

Armatile are big !! i do quite a bit for them out of their head office in Armagh,had tea in there on saturday morning with the manager,i even know the top man himself,lovely people and a family run business,i'm currently fitting tiles i got from them.

I would still use seal guard - I use it on all my work, and Ultracolour plus is my grout of choice. What i found interesting that on black grout the colour stayed blacker for longer on outside mosaics sprayed with sealguard, whereas the first black grouted mosaics before I know about seal guard turned into a lighter grey pretty soon. I know people have been in two camps about it, but I really think it's good stuff, especially when applied twice as recommended. The liquid brush on version lasts longer.
