Re: amount of adhesive / grout for a sertain area
it depends on size of grout line , depth of adhesive, thickness of tile and size of tile, a small tile obviously has more grout lines. its always best to buy extra or a bigger bag to make sure you don't run out

Re: amount of adhesive / grout for a sertain area
im not too woried about the grout as its easy to mix another wee bit but addy is a neusence to have to mix more of. PITA when your short just enough for the last tile or two.

Re: amount of adhesive / grout for a sertain area
As a rough guide, a 20 kg bag of adhesive will do 4/5 m2 for floors using a 10mm round notch trowel and back skimming the tiles or 7/8 m2 on walls using a 6mm square notched trowel. As for grout, it's different every time depending on tile thickness, joint width and tile size, as Andy has already said, whatever BAL claim on the back of their bags, half it!
