    Default What colour grout?

Hi, really hope someone can help. We are having b&q black romsey polished porcelin 500x500 tiles in our kitchen/dining room. What we don't know is what colour of grout to use? Really hope someone can advise me. We have the black brick effect on the walls with white grout but wasn't sure if we should go with white on floor? Or black or grey "/ thanks :-)

Hi and welcome to TilersForums, a lot is down to personal choice, being a heavy traffic area I would be tempted to go with a medium dark grey. Others will have their own opinions as well.

I wouldn't go white - unless you can ensure no pets or children anywhere near the floor ever!

I would try and find a grout colour that closely matches the tile colour, looks better IMO.

Thanks so much for your replies

Yeah hubby was thinking black or a dark colour but we didn't want it to look like one big black slab.

    Thanks

There has been 1 or 2 issues with black grout turning grey or lighter, so whichever you choose do a test area first to see how it holds. A darker grey - like Mapei cement grey 112 - or charcoal could look good as it will just give the floor texture without it looking like tramlines.
    Good luck and

My personal choice would be grey, gunmetal if you prefer lighter grey, smoke if you prefer darker grey. Both BAL colours.

Have a look at Mapei 110 manhattan grey. I used this on black polished porcelain and it looked really good. Your local Tile Giant can supply you with this grout.

as with enduro mapei 110 would be my choice but as previous replies it really is personal choice, my best advice would be to pop into your local tile supplier Tile giant, ctd, or a.n other that you have close by to you and ask to see their ranges of grout colours. they should be happy to do this for you.

Dont go with white ,will be ruined in a few weeks ,if you dont want a black slab then go for grey ,me personally,i think manhattan grey is to light and would go for a darker shade of grey so that the tiles stand out but not too much, but as the guys have said its down to personal prefrence.

Hi, thanks so much for all your advice - we went for grey in the end. Floor is down & looking lovely! Although we have noticed 2 tiles that have a dull mark on them so they are gonna have to be changed! Thanks so much again :-) x
