Undefloor heating and adhesive

Hi,

This may seem like a very obvious question but before I make a big mistake thought i would check here.

I have bought some ceramic floor tiles and am having electrical underfloor heating installed, please can someone recommend a adhesive and a grout I could use please.

The only stipulation seems to be that it is a 'flexible' adhesive, but there seems to be so many, i'm not sure what to go for!

hi and welcome to the forum, it all depends on where you live, i would steer clear of the diy sheds and go to a decent tile shop, where they will sort you out some decent flexable adhesive and grout.

good makes to go for if you can get them are weber, bal, or mapei...

What type of substrate are you having this installed onto... you might need to use insulation as well..

Hi, thanks for the replies, it is being installed on a floor that has been concreted then levelled with a self levelling agent if that makes sense. The builder has done it so i'm not sure of names of brands etc.

Then use a 10mm insulation board, otherwise you will lose heat through the concrete.

How long had the concrete been down for before the levelling screed was put on it?
Are you laying the tiles yourself?
Has the builder any experience with electric UFH and tiling.
