Default hardi backer and levelling compund

    Hi,

A quick one, Looked at a job yesterday, been prepped already 'floor boards, hardibacker and topped with UFH'.

Theres a slight dip in the middle of floor, no bounce, just a dip.

Is it possible to apply weber floor flex over the lot to level it out? Only approx 4mm dip.

Like I say it all seems solid and fit correctly, just a dip that should have been rectified at the start, but was not.

    Thanks fellas.

You may find Weber floor flex has a min depth of 10mm. Have a look at Mapei Fibreplan, it's always best to SLC UFH in my opinion though to be honest 4mm isn't much of a dip and could easily be dealt with by your adhesive when laying your tiles.

Over what size area is the 4mm dip?

Cheers pal, sorry typo in original, dont know where 4mm came from. Typing in a rush. its around 9mm at its worst over a 1.8m length. That and the fact the ufh is uncovered explains why Im want to level over. Just making sure its possible over hardibacker.

    Thanks matey.

I believe Russ is correct that Weber Flex needs min 10mm. Mapei Renovation screed should be suitable for your needs, I believe that this has min of 4mm.
