Tiles overweight for skim plaster ( 1/2 painted) in the
Tile Adhesive, Grout and Substrate Preparation at TilersForums;
I am doing an en-suite, 10mm thick 600x300 ceramic tiles onto partly painted very flat skim plaster on solid walls. Tiles + adh = 30kg psm
Is it ok to ... -

I am doing an en-suite, 10mm thick 600x300 ceramic tiles onto partly painted very flat skim plaster on solid walls. Tiles + adh = 30kg psm
Is it ok to mechanically fix 6mm marmox to walls. Part of it will be tanked with Mapeigum.

Bang on 
Just check what thickness Marmox recommend for walls tho.
