    Default Removing previous timber/chipboard flooring?

    Hey up folks.

    How would you go about removing old floor boards or chipboards if they travel underneath the next room aswell???? (upstairs bathroom)

    Use my fein to cut close to the wall but I would support the end of the cut boards with some noggins..

    Is it a stud wall.

    Circular saw as close as poss to walls............ad supports/noggins.

    Re-board with 22mm ply.............overboard with hardi.

    Tile

    Get paid

    Chipboards will mash the blades on a Fein. I use a couple of cheap handsaws and a lot of elbow action. A lot more hard work but significantly cheaper, IMO.

    Otherwise exactly as Mark (WB) says, just remember to support the edges of the boards.

    Might be stating the obvious but don't forget to check for pipes and cables before you go flying along with a saw!

    Saw a plumber do that while cutting the boards, it was a heating pipe
