    Default Bal grout

Anyone else had any problems with bal grout? Ive stopped using it but this particular job,the customer provided it.nightmare.It just doesnt stick to the float or tile joint.Tried wetting tile first also.I dont have this problem with any other brand. Its not just walls either.Wide joint/regular,same problems. It seems to dry too fast the minute it leaves the bucket yet perfect consistency when in the bucket.A simple 30 min grouting job took 2 hrs yesterday with the majority on the floor.Never using it again

Something I have never heard of before. I don't use BAL much but when I have or do, I have never experienced this.

I use BAL all the time and addmittedly if I'm using a wide joint on the walls a fair bit ends up on the floor but no issues with any others, or when using wide joint on the floor.

Never had this problem in all the years of using bal grout, wj can be harder to spread if its getting pushed up & down the floor and dries out a bit, so I just take out a bit at a time .

Like the ball wall grouts they key good and you can washboy em.

Sounds more like the old mapie grout to me.
