Need a perfect match of grout for these mosaic tiles?
Hello all.
I have a tiling job coming up. The resident has bought some large ceramic tiles 14inch sq. They are made up of uniformed rectangular tiles similar to mosaic but rectangular, 1inch by 2 inch.
The grout in the tile lines is grey, and so they want an exact match for the actual grout line in between the large tiles themselves when I tile it.
Will I be able to get an exact match, do the main tile shops do this kind of service or is it a case of you dont know till its grouted and the grout has dried? They say they have a friend who has the similar tiles and has an exact match of grout for the grout in the their tile?????
Any advice thanks.....

you'll find it hard to match it exactly i.m.o. tell them to ask their friend what make/colour it is

Mapei has a really good colour range, so does Ultra, just go in the shop with tile in hand and see if the (most likely the warm grey or biscuit) on the colour samples is a good match. Click here for their colour range

Thanks for the replies, but Ive made a mistake and feel a bit of a twit.
The tiles were new to me and upon speaking to topps tiles they have told me the grout lines which make up the tiles also get grouted. hahaha.

That explains why their friends got such a perfect match.
Have you heard of or used these tiles, I was wondering about the grouting as the grout lines seem pretty shallow.?

Re: Need a perfect match of grout for these mosaic tiles?
The grout holds fine , my only advice is to use a fast setting grout , this helps with the washing down, so not to wash grout back out the joints on the tile face.

Very popular tile down here gold digger. As Dave said, leave as much grout in the joints as possible. Good Luck with it.
