    Default Does tile adhesive go bad??

    Hi, If cement based adhesive is still in date but slightly hard to touch in an unopened bag. Is it Ok to use? How would you know it has "Gone bad"?

    Do you mean when holding the powder in your hands or feeling through the bag. If the later then it could just be compressed. if there are hard lumps then its a chance its got damp.

    can the lumps be flattened back into powder if not then I would ditch it.

    Normally there's a 12 month(ish) life in unopened bag

    I generally throw everything out of the lock-up every few months. Sometimes its worth having thick rubble sacks to double bag open adhesive bags with.
