    Default builders and prep work

..don't you just love them!! went to slc a utility room today that has been formed from a garage. Now this garage had a pit in it that the customer thought had been filled in with crushed rubble and concreted and then skimmed over with slc to bring it up to existing floor level.......how wrong!!! What the builder had actually done was just put some wickes one coat plaster over the pit sleepers and then slc'ed over it.He assured the customer that this was totally suitable to tile onto, what a rip off builder!

tbh Jon, not totally lost, thunderbolts, 6x2's and doubled up 18mm wbp has sorted it, ready for slc tomoz. The customer works for Magik House ( home entertainments) so I might swap my labour for labour so to speak, as when I do my bathroom I might need some speakers wiring up etc.
