Is it pricey? I like the Mapei slcs but they seem to be way over the top on the price.

Just read through the spec sheet, and it mentions that MapePrim Sp or Eco Prim T should be used as the primer............ any reason why I cant use my usual Primer G???....... only just bought another 10 litres (2 tubs) and have a few floors lined up

I've just read through the spec sheet aswell and after speaking with Mapei they advise the surface should be primed first. Is this necessary? Especially in our situation which is over UFH and insulation boards?

    Hi Guys
I've been follow your forum for ages and now it's time to start posting .
I used some Ultraplan Renovation Screed today and it's great stuff ,great flow ,great spreading, great price .It looks like it will replace Fibreplan ( forgot to ask Mapei guys and why it's a half price of it ) for good
I had a issue regarding primer to use on ply before applying this new stuff ,Mapei suggest to use Ecoprim or Mapeprim ( both water based )- really expensive as a primer but after conversation with
Mapei technical support they confirmed Primer G ( resin based ) should be OK as well .

Because Fibre plan has to be imported from Italy.. Renovation screed SLC is made in the UK , hence lower costs.
