    Default New screed drying times

    Hi all

I have some family who are about to embark on an extension to their kitchen and have asked their builders for quotes on diging out the existing screed to allow for laying and fitting of wet UFH.

Any ideas on how long they would have to wait for this to dry? I know its 1mm per day but what about anything below the basic screed? Is 50mm sufficient for the UFH or will it have to be thicker?

Minimum 65mm and could use fibre screed as well for some extra strengh
