    Default Tanking Plywood Wall

    Hi,

I put a WBP plywood wall into my shower area.

It would be too much trouble to move or cover now.

Is there any tanking material suitable for plywood?

I talked to Kerdi UK and their technical support team told me you could use Kerdi matting on Plywood so long as it was one single piece (no plywood joints).

My 1.2m wide x 2.4m high plywood is screwed to the studwork and the wall is finished in water resistant (green) plasterboard (if only i had done the whole wall).....is it safe to use Kerdi over this plasterboard / ply joint?

Please help, i think it should be ok to tank plywood as i'm sure it's used quite often.

    Thanks,
    James.

i think most tanking systems can be used over plywood, i've used Granfix, weber and Ultra products all are suitable for plywood.
