leveling compound (and cheapest place for latex plus?)
Hi all,
I have been told by my potential tiler that I need to get the last of the materials in and that includes some 'levelling compound' - anyone know of a decent type?
Also, is TileGiant trade price the cheapest for latex plus?
Kind regards,
Richard

Re: leveling compound (and cheapest place for latex plus?)
Thanks for reply.
That's the confusing thing. The tiler gave me the impression the levelling compound was only to be used on only the bits it needed applying to (rather then all over,,). The area is 34sqm. No underfloor heating.

Re: leveling compound (and cheapest place for latex plus?)
I would use Mapei latexplan trade. Not sure why he woouldnt level the whole floor ? maybe he thinks its not needed ???

Re: leveling compound (and cheapest place for latex plus?)
Is it just some low areas? If so he may just be allowing to build them up rather than the whole floor, and thus keeping the cost down for you

Re: leveling compound (and cheapest place for latex plus?)
why can't your tiler supply the slc for you and add it to your bill?
CTD do mapei latexplan @ xxxx and webber slc @ xxxxx plus vat but they are trade prices not sure on retail prices.
hope this helps.

No trade prices in public forum please. Also, you'll need to send your potential tiler in to get trade prices if you're not trade yourself.

Re: leveling compound (and cheapest place for latex plus?)
your tiler should have trade accounts and he should be either gettting you the materials or directing you to the best outlet
