Hi guys.Need a bit of advice.The plasterboard needs replaced above the bath area before I tile it.Was just wondering if i would need to remove bath and replace plasterboard from floor to ceiling or i could just cut from above bath and replace from there.Thanks.

hi michael, you'll be able to cut the section above the bath and just replace that. no need to pull the bath out and reboard from top to bottom, unless you want to of course. if it's an internal wall, just find the uprights behind the board, cut the board out, replace with new board and attach to the uprights. if it's an external wall, you can stick it up with plasterboard adhesive.

Could use backer-board instead if tiling all the way up to ceiling?

If you do leave bath in-situ, make sure you cover it with a piece of ply to stop it getting damaged.
